Ok so I did a test of all the knows fillers I know of.....

The factory carts were not reviewed as we all know they suck.

I washed everything with hot water & soap and rinsed then boiled.

I used 10 brand new primed atomizers on them all. (switched them out to be sure bad taste wasn't atomizer)

I used the exact same juice on them all.

From left to right :



White Fluval... (Terry's) 6 - Have to top off A LOT, doesn't last long, bad taste of material
Lipton Pyramid Tea Bag... 2 - Works best but constant bad taste of material, long lasting
Blue Foam 5 - Severe cart/mouth flooding, Bad taste after a while, long lasting
Cotton 4 - Hard to get vapor, hard to wick, but no material taste
Painting Sponge 0 - Immediately threw this away taste was absolutely disgusting

The LTB was my favorite but I could not seem to get rid of the bad taste of the material.

Cotton was my 2nd favorite because all you could taste was the flavor of the liquid but it's very hard to wick.

I would have to say IMHO the white fluval is the most tolerable.

Always be sure to align your carts as shown below.

Improper alignment may cause the cart to melt resulting in you vaping plastic !!

Can you direct drip the liquid on the atomizer of the 510?

yes, if it is a manual

Do you mean a manual battery? So I can't if I use the automatic battery?

It can gum up the battery, as there is a hole in it battery for air sensing, which can be clogged by this. That hole is plugged up in a manual battery.

ok so these rating are ALL wrong... I learned something very important about the attty's I will post in another section.. I will do another test when I get the other atty's I ordered in the mail. But I can probably guess the outcome..

I received my new Mega batteries today along with some Wintergreen 18mg fluid and some of the new blue foam filler.
Tried the blue filler and a charged up mega battery and found that I could vape the whole cart dry before the battery ran down.
Produces a TON of vapor also and I haven't noticed a bad taste yet. Do the Mega batteries give a higher voltage than the standard 510 batteries? The atty seems to burn hotter and the vapor produced (with ANY liquid I try) is much thicker. I've loaded another cart with standard filler material and I'm still getting tons of vapor and one HECKUVA throat hit with the wintergeen. The 8mg coconut fluid gives less throat hit, but just as much vapor. I swear I'd like to open up a place and call it the Vapor Trails Bar and let Terry provide all of the product. Maybe I could talk him into a custom flavor for Mardi Gras... Hmmm, Crawdad? yuck.. Maybe Red beans & Rice flavor?

The blue foam is by far the best filler I have tried.. Well, it's actually just a cap.

So the final conclusion made was that the Blue Foam(marineland stuff at petsmart/petco??) was the best cart filler? My 510 hasn't come in the mail yet, but will tomorrow or friday and I'll be trying this out as there's no way i can wait any amount of time before trying out the caramel....mmmmm.

Is your youtube vid on how to fill it the best way vapor? or is there a better way I'm not aware of? How were you burning plastic?? I'm so confused. lol

Krom that was agreat post by Vaporhead. You can sometimes melt a cart if it is not properly aligned with the atty. In his bottom picture it shows how the cart goes on the atty aligned with the bridge in the atty. Lipton Pyramid Teabags works great as a filler but I experienced leaks, the blue foam works the best for me when I use it as a plug on top of the cart full of e-liquid.

ok, so my attys don't look like your pics. Mine have a upside down v. should i line up the wide part of the cart so the v is covered or should i line it up so just the top is touching and the "sides" of the cart overhang? i am not having any problems, well other than i vape like mad because Terrys juice is awesome! i just wanted to know so i don't mess up my attys. thanks in advance.

The bridge should fit between the flat sides on the cart like in VaporHeads picture above.

I don't think it will matter with that kind of atty in your pic.

That looks like an slb or other washer knockoff. Those atty's work best on high voltage mods.
The genuine atty's work best on the standard and mega 510 batteries IMO.
The genuine atty's have the mesh inside with the rectangle.
SOME carts will melt if not aligned like the above pic and video.
IF you have a cart that is melting, it is most likely you have a powerful genuine 510 atty and a bad cat design. Align them the same way and they should not melt if you are using it properly. ie: Not using a mod.

The blue foam is by far the best method to fill a 510 cart IMO.
I like to cut a small rectangle and fold it in half sticking it in the tip of the full cart (as a plug) with tweezers.
The flat "whistle tipped" carts seem to fit better, hold as much juice, and do not seem to leak nearly as much.

I do not have a clue what you are talking about. Do you have a 510?
If it is not melting do not worry about it.
Only some 510 carts melt, not all.

If it is melting and you are using a mod, you can try to cut the cart down a little being careful not to cut your fingers.
I made a 4 cart mod posted over on ecf where I drilled them out and fused them together for a longer cart, but I almost cut my fingers trying to cut the thing. It looked retarded. Way too long.

Ok, I got it! yippie for the newbie! I did melt a cart but that was my mega battery being stuck on. I have put it up and don't use it any more. Scared the shit outta me when the thing was too hot to touch. I like the flat tips better. I agree they do not seem to leak as much. Thanks for all of you insight Vaporhead.

i am new to vaping i ordered 25 carts for my 510 from terry i been reading on here that they suck!what should i use for them then?

vape them up!
refill them a few times each, then toss the filters inside the cartridges.
You can pull them out with tweezers.
I prefer to direct drip straight onto the atomizer.
But if I can't drip I like to use the blue foam.
That video is OLD and I do not have access to the account.
Just cut a small piece to "plug" the tip of the cartridge you fill with liquid.
I like to cut a very small piece and fold it in half and plug the tip.

Or you can order some of Terry's white fluval and stick a piece in the entire length of the cartridge.
I hear some people like to do that.

I find that the fluval can only be reused a few times so I use the blue foam when I can't drip.

i used the stock carts got a real bad burnt like plastic taste.so i went to the teabag mod i still get the taste why is this?

First check the cartridge to see that it has not melted.
A few posts up in this very thread explains the proper alignment of cartridges so that they do not melt.

i did its not melted and i have the aligment right as per the pics i seen
