Hey all!

One of the best tricks I've found is vaping when I used to smoke. I'm still new to the game here but yesterday I smoked 9 cigarettes. I'm normally a pack a day smoker. While at work, I still take my smoke breaks, but instead of analogs, I just load up a cart and take my NJOY. It's actually become quite the conversation piece in the smoking area. This way, my brain still gets the routine that it likes, and I get to enjoy a moment at work without all the crap in cigarettes. The awesome thing is that I was able to not smoke at work yesterday, even though I'm using Medium strength smoke juice (normally I smoke Marlboro 27's, a full flavor analog)!

I think this might actually work for me where patches, lozenges, and heaping helpings of cold turkey have failed. Go me! 8-)

Congrats Arch! You can do it man. I have heard so many success stories from smokers who now use only electronic cigarettes when nothing else worked for them. Glad to see you added to the list of others buddy

I'm going to continue to fight the erg... :? :x

You can do it blah. Once you get past those first few hurdles and resist the temptation it gets a whole lot easier.

What nicotine concentration are you using and what regular cigs did you used to smoke? You might need a higher nicotine concentration in your e-liquid.

Also, remember there is no shame is falling back as long as you get back up and keep moving forward. You can do this!!

I guess I’m the definition of ‘roller coaster’ smoker…

Smoked for 11 years – met the lady who became wife #1, she didn’t like it – quit cold-turkey from a 3-1/2 pack (Winston 100’s) a day habit…

After 8 years, the marriage ended – started smoking again to piss her off (it worked…) Yeah, Yeah – I know - real intelligent decision…

Met the lady who became wife #2 – she was a smoker, so continued to smoke for 5 years. Then we decided to stop, I did it cold-turkey again (1-1/2 a day this time) – she had trouble bouncing back on, then off, then on – so I wasn’t able to stay off until she finally did quit (hypnosis) – I went cold-turkey a 3rd time….

After that relationship ended (great track record – eh? :| ) – I stayed off smokes for 3 years. Met the lady I’m with now (not married this time – may be slow, but I do learn  ) – she was a smoker. Stayed off for a while, then started taking a hit here & there, then just started again, but kept it to less than a pack a day… for 3 years. Then she needed surgery and had to quit for two weeks prior – so we decided to stop – yep, cold-turkey for a 4th time…

Lasted for 5 years this time, until my Mom passed away …

On again for 5 years until my lady asked me to stop – another helping of cold turkey… that was 7 months ago…

What I’ve found is that I don’t miss the nicotine – each time I had no withdrawls of any kind. The part I miss is the physical mechanics of smoking – holding the cig, taking a drag, inhaling, smoke rings, etc…

My e-cig is due to arrive today or tomorrow – 0 nicotine/menthol carts…

We’ll see…

Wow bogie, I thought my 6 times were bad.
Well, it should work for you but my addiction is the nic. need it with the coffee
so I am getting that juice and after dinner, so on, so on...
But I have never lit up right after getting up in the morning, had to have coffee 1st.
But anyways, you will like it even with 0nic. Lots of flavors.

My ecig arrived today! I've been using it on and off all afternoon but guys, I still want a real one! What is wrong with me? I like the ecig...it's cool, I like the whole 'it feels like smoking' thing...but somehow it's not the same.

I'm hanging in there because I really want to do this but I wonder how long it took for you to really be ok without burning a real one???

I've smoked since I was 17 yrs and I'm 42 now...have quit twice...when I was pregnant didn't smoke not one time...ever...I knew it could harm my child and so I just didn't do it. The other time I quit was with the welbutrin meds, I stayed quit for...ummm maybe 1 year until I started dating a stalker that I finally got rid of and the anxiety just got me so one day I pulled into a gas station and it was all over...smoked since then..not a lot, maybe 1/2 pack a day...but I need them and I don't want to need them anymore!

What kind of cigs did/do you smoke normally? Make sure you have a high enough nicotine level to satisfy the craving...I do understand completely what you are saying though. I ordered the low levels at first and realized I vaped an entire cart before the craving subsided. Now I am on higher levels and have cut my analog cig smoking from over a pack a day to maybe 5 to 9 a day (depending on the kind of day I am having  )...with the hopes of knocking them out completely! Don't give up on the ecigs...I have found the more I use them the natural the start to feel.

The more I use my e-cig, the more I crave the flavors I've found. The more analogs I smoke, the more I realize they taste like poo.

Still down to 5-7 a day from 20 a day before vaping. I've pretty much stopped smoking at work. It's at home that I find it harder to not smoke.

I think my problem is the throat hit. I haven't really had any decent throat hits my entire week of vaping. I'm using a low concentrate of nicotine... so maybe that's it? I think if had a harsher throat hit that would make it feel like a normal smoke, thus hinder my cravings.

I'm getting better with vaping...I only had one analog today. It was the last one in my pack. My husband's hasn't arrived yet so he's still smoking and the cool thing to me was that he stinks! I mean after only a couple of days of being almost completely off real ones..the smell of them is already bothering me. So, I'm taking that as a good sign. I also think my husband is ready...several times today he has used my ecig and he says it's pretty good...except mine are menthol and he doesn't do menthol.

Well I cracked the month milestone with the ecig and haven't had an analog yet. Not that I haven't wanted one, but I've stuck to digital "smoking" so far. I started with the Blu light carts, but they lacked the throat hit. Moved up to the full, which was better, then tried some Johnson Creek 24 mg. That did the trick.

I have noticed an increase in my "smoking" since I can pretty much do it anywhere, so I've started keeping some zero nicotine on hand which helps a lot.

The only downside is that I've become something of a vaping whore. I've got my Blu, bought a Dragon M401 off a friend who tried vaping, but couldn't stick to it, and now I have a 510 on the way from Terry. Part of my choosing to go with the ecig was to save some money, but I can't stay away from the hardware side of the habit.

I started with the 510 and I have stuck with the 510 I think I made a good choice when I did the switch it replaced smoking for me the same day I started with the 510. I went from a 2 pack a day full flavor menthol habit to none.

I've been 24 hrs without an analog. I smoked one yesterday and decided it doesn't taste as good as my Ecig..maybe I've turned the corner and finally I can be totally vaping with no analogs. Thank God, I want to be off them so much.

I stopped smoking analogs the moment I loaded the first cart on my blu...I ran out of carts went back to analogs a couple of days till Terry could rush ship an order to me...Since they arrived I have never looked back never had an urge...can't even remember what analogs were like.

I AM SUCH A QUITTER!!!!!!! Thank you for your support! If you're still backsliding a little here and there just focus, you'll get there, I'm pulling for you.

I am getting there!! I have had 3 analog cigarettes today and couldn't even smoke them all. I kept craving the real thing but when I tried to smoke it it tasted awful. I am liking the taste of my e-cig better than analogs. I am getting a better buzz from the e-cig since I upped the nicotine level. This is getting easier.

Literally the first thing I did was empty one of the factory carts and replaced the batting with fluval..and filled it with some of Terry's liquid...sent an already great thing over the top and outta this world!!! I will do the PTB Mod just as soon as I can get out to the store!!!

I can't even fathom that these (510"s) could get even better...I am VERY PLEASED!!!best $58.50 I have ever spent...except for maybe my marriage license!!

I am using a Green Smoke right now. Is the Titan 510 better?? I feel like I am also having to work to get a good hit. Lots of vapor but I have to do like a three hit thing to get the full effect.

@ amrdh5

I started with GreenSmoke because I thought the 2 piece design would be easier, etc...

But I sent it back and got the 510 instead...

Less $$$; easier to fill the carts myself; easier draw; as much (maybe more) vapor

For the less than the cost of one GS kit, you can get 2 510 kits...

Sure - eventually you will need to replace attys - but over all the cost will still be less when you factor in filling your own carts...

If you're within your 30 days with GS - see if you can return it and order the 510 from Terry - I doubt you'll be disappointed...

JMHO

Thanks for the advice Bogie. I just placed my order for the Titan. I do feel like I really have to draw on the Green Smoke and it is metered and only lets you draw so long, not like an analog cig. I hope the Titan is better in that regard. I like a lot of vapor. I use Terry's e-juice and VG so I should still get a lot of vapor. Does the Titan have a good throat hit as well?
