I don't know if this is the right spot to ask...but I'll ask it here anyway.

I like the look of the 510 on Terry's site, and the in his video review he mentions an automatic and a manual battery for it - but in the shopping section it says it comes with 2 manual batteries. I've never used an electronic cig, and one of the selling points was the 2 different types of batteries.

For anyone who has purchased from him, do I only have to request a manual and an automatic in the notes and I'll get it? Or is he only selling manual types for the starter pack?

And one more question...I'm an American Spirits snob, so how close is the 510 to American Spirits brand (if anyone has smoked them.)

Thanks so much...I've already gotten a lot of info off this site. It saved me from buying Blu. ;)

Hey daphne, I know all Terry has right now is manual starter kits, but he may throw in an automatic in place of a manual battery if you ask him. I can tell you from experience that most tobacco flavors out there don't really taste like tobacco. I've heard Terry's marlboro is really good, but he's currently out. When I first started using ecigs, I was really concerned with finding something that tasted like a real cig, but honestly, since branching out and trying the flavors out there, I'm loving all the options. I still crave something that tastes like a real smoke every now and then, but for the most part, my caramel, coffee, and spearmint are more than enough to satisfy me. My advice, look through Terry's flavor list and order a few small bottles of some liquids that sound good to you.

When you get your E-cig you probably will not be concerned with how close the taste is to a real cigarette because, realistically, analog cigarettes taste like shit.

Even from using my Blu I can say that an E-Cig tastes far better than any cancer stick out there. There are many great flavor choices, I'm sure you will find one that can replace your current smoking habit ;)

Personally, I thought the auto battery for the 510 required a LOT of work.
The manual battery is a nicer drag, in my opinion.

The thing I hate about the 510 is how often the atomizers fail. I'm a very heavy vaper, and I go through a 510 atomizer every week on my silver bullet. Still cheaper than smoking, but far from ideal. I'm hoping that my atomizers will last longer when I make the six volt transition later this week.

As for American Spirit, well, there are a lot of eliquids out there. Very few of them actually taste like a burning cigarette. Most all of them taste much better. I find myself enjoying the coffee, orange, cinnamon, and cream flavors the best; although grape and bubble gum sound like they would be good. If you're doing it for the snob value, fear not. Simply being an e-smoker has more snob appeal than any analog. Vaping on the 510 and variations of it, more so, because it's the top of the line.

I vape pretty much non stop from 5:30am till 1AM the next day, and I have yet to have an atty fail. How often do you blow out your atty, and how often do you clean them?
