Reason for the contest:I have decided that I need to make some new awards for the site. The "Golden Electronic Cigarette" just does not cut it. The award was always meant to be given to the best all around electronic cigarette. However I noticed that a lot of electronic cigarette starter kits are good in their own right (price, vapor, size, etc...).
So I have came to the conclusion that the site needs a small slew of new award names. I started making this list, however I need your help to finish it. Below are the award names that I have came up with so far and what they will be awarded for beside them. I also need to come up with a list of awards for various e-liquids.
But instead of just having people start throwing out names, I thought that we could make this fun and turn it into a contest!
I have a small pile of e-liquid sitting here that I just reviewed. I am editing the videos and will be posting them this week. But with more and more things coming in to review I simply have more e-liquid that I can vape by myself. So lets go and give a little bit of it away.
Contest Rules (Please Read): This contest will start right away and run until midnight on Friday August 22nd 2009. There are going to be three ways to win and four winners.
How To Win! 1 Winner Per Way To Win
1) Suggest an electronic cigarette starter kit award (that has not been mentioned!) (1 winner)
2) Suggest an e-liquid award (that has not been mentioned) (1 winner)
3) Recommend somebody to the forum and you both win! (2 winners)
Below you will find a list of awards that I came up with so far for the electronic cigarette starter kit award list. I would like to add little more to this list, we also need a full list of e-liquid awards. Please list award suggestions in the same fashion as below (award name - award description). If not we may not know what the award is meant to be for.
Even though there may be several good suggestions for each of the two categories (starter kit awards and e-liquid award) there will only be one winner per category. However PEC does reserve the right to use your suggestion even if it was not the winner for the category.
Everybody can add as many suggestions as they would like, there is no limit. Feel free to come back as often as you would like to and post more as you think of them. Whoever posts an award suggestion first is the rightful owner of that suggestions and will be the prize winner if it is chosen.
In order to win the recommend somebody to the forum prize you simply have to get somebody to visit the forum and say that you referred them. The best place for them to do this is would be in their introduction post. At the end of the contest I will go and look for new members and see if their first post mentions that they where referred by somebody.
At this point I know what you are thinking "how can I get somebody to mention that I sent them". Well let me make it easy for you. Simply tell them that if they join the forum and simply mention that you referred them they will be entered into a contest to win some free e-liquid. So to make it short and sweet. Both the person being referred and the referrer of the person will win a prize. (2 winners = referral & referrer)
The Prizes (Please Read):Ok now on to the good stuff. Below are the prizes. Each of these e-liquids are ones that I have used to make reviews and various videos, so they may be a little short since I did use some of each of them.
Each of the prize sets are going to be assigned to the prize categories as follows. I am not going to switch them around to accommodate for anybody. However when the prizes are awarded if the winners wish to switch them around they can do so. However I will need a message from both winners to be sure I have their consent.
Starter Kit Award Suggestion Winner Will Receive - 10ml of 12mg RY4 Blend (Sweet Carmel Tobacco) and 10ml of 12mg Apple (
True Vapor)
E-liquid Award Suggestion Winner Will Receive - 30ml of 36mg Vanilla Totally Wicked E-Smoking Liquid (
The Electronic Cigarette Company)
Referral Contest Winners Will Receive - The referrer gets 10ml 18mg Chocolate and 10ml 18mg True Coffee The referral gets 10ml 18mg True Cherry and 10ml 18mg Peach (all from True Vapor)
All winners will be announced on Sunday August 23rd and prizes will be shipped out on Tuesday August 25th. So if you win and would like to switch with somebody you both need to get your message to me before Tuesday. If not I will pack your prize up and ship it out as stated above.
Conclusion: So the rules have been laid out and the contest is on. I will really be pleased if you can invite as many people as you can possibly think of. It is a great way for you and the person you refer to win some free e-liquid. Not to mention it is a good way to make the forum a little more active.
So do everything you can to get the word out. Post about it on your blog, put it in your forum signatures, email your friends, do whatever you have to as long as you do not piss other people off. Oh and make sure that they know to say that you referred them so you can both have a chance at some free e-liquid. Just make sure that they know your forum name!
